Fire and Lace

The new DeVore Orangutan O/96 are cookin’ at the store and sounding great.  Book a time to swing by for a listen!

Besides beautiful aesthetics (Lace Walnut front baffle & Anthracite stained maple top/sides) the speakers will astound you with their ability to delve deep into the music.

  1. They do indeed look beautiful. How are they about positioning? And being sensitive are they good at low volumes (when the kiddies are asleep)?

    • Hi Andrew,

Yep, due to their large 10″ woofer and cabinet size, they definitely do the ‘rich sound @ low volume’ quite well. I’m finding them quite easy to position at my shop, with a wonderful sense of ease and palpable quality to the presentation.

  2. “Update: The above 2 Spectral items are so sterile, lifeless and devoid of emotion I have decided to refuse to sell these trade in’s to anyone. I would be doing you a disservice, but I did the fellow a favor taking them in on trade. Blech.”

Sorry to hi-jack your O/96 thread but your above comments in your “specials” section was absolutely HILLARIOUS.

  3. I guess John has been very busy with speakers lately – first the O/96 and now a refined Super 8: the new Gibbon 88. Looking forward to hearing both sometime…The Super 8 are still one of my favorite speakers period.

Any chance John is working on a Gibbon 99?
