Impermanent

Late last night, the desert sky was kind enough to offer a couple of distant stars to accompany a contemplative mood.  I’ve been experimenting with night photography, lately.  This was a 30 second exposure with 14mm lens, picking up hundreds of thousands of stars.

I was listening to Craig Armstrong Piano Works ‘Gentle Piece’, while absorbing the space and depth between the notes in the sky.

  1. Matt, check out night photography of a German photographer by the name of Thomas Ruff. He got some notorious attention for using images of hardcore porn in his photos, but his night images are beautiful, sublime, and disturbing – sometimes all at once.
