  1. Glad to hear Matt. I’ve read great things about the RS28CX Preamp. Speaker wise, how is the match with the CS1000 and the Falcons?
    Thanks, Arnold

    1. Oh, Leben and the LS3/5A is a super match. You don’t necessarily need that power, of course, but the drive, dynamics and headroom of this amplifier is extraordinary. The music experienced through the speaker becomes even larger in scale with more foundation and presence. Another great match is the Leben CS600X integrated amp!

    1. Hi, will depend on the rest of your system. The CS1000 will require a preamp – I recommend a Leben RS28CX. A really amazing match with the CS1000. The cost differential is significantly more than a single 600X integrated amp at this point. The 600X is designed as as integrated, of course, and as such, has less power, with shared single power supply for preamp and amp stage. Sonically/voicing wise, they are cut from the same cloth, the 1000 being many times the power – better for less efficiency speakers and larger rooms. The price/performance of the 600 cannot be beat. A preamp and amp combo such as a 28cx/1000 will be better than the 600 on it’s own.
